The Villa
When you arrive at Villa Kalisha, you may actually wonder where
the villa actually is! Access is via a paved path that cuts directly
across picturesque rice paddies, with amazing views of the volcanoes
of Bali in the distance. At the end of the path, the land drops
away almost vertically and there you get your first sight of Villa
Kalisha on the edge of a spectacular jungle gorge.
As you enter the villa the view immediately hits you. The villa
almost seems to hang suspended above the steep jungle filled gorge.
In all directions there is nothing but trees and vegetation, but
100m below you there are more rice paddies, and in the distance
you can see all the way down the gorge to the ocean in the distance.
Beautifully furnished by Christopher Noto, the exclusive Singapore
furniture designer for Pagoda House (http://www.pagodahouse.com/)
Villa Kalisha is characterised by a collection of contemporary furniture
sourced in Bali of understated luxury, with a strong taste of Asian
flare. Night time brings a special ambience to Villa Kalisha when
the superb lighting further highlights the villa’s breath-taking
location.
The Guest Suites
Villa Kalisha has two stunning guest suites, each suitable for
one couple. Both bedrooms have dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows,
allowing the sunlight to flood in and offering fantastic views out
across the jungle to the gorge below, yet also ensuring complete
privacy. Romantic, draped, king sized beds and quality soft furnishings
make both bedrooms the perfect place to relax with your partner
of family.
The Bathrooms
The upstairs bathroom has probably some of the best views in the
villa, and as you enter a dramatic open-air vista opens up in all
three directions of the jungle and gorge below. Completed in wood
and stone of the highest quality, the bathroom also features a remarkable
brass bath that provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the
view. The downstairs bathroom, also has great views out across the
jungle and gorge, but this time features a fantastic genuine teak
bath to relax and enjoy.
The Living Room
The living room is comfortably furnished with a day-bed and other
furniture and is fully equipped with satellite television, DVD player
and CD player and stereo. There is also a wide collection of DVDs
and books, and CDs. If you prefer to relax outside, the living room
opens up to a wide balcony with a further sofa that enjoys fantastic
views over the pool to the valley and jungle beyond.
The Kitchen & Dining Room
Downstairs there is a completely newly fitted guest kitchen, complete
with fridge, microwave and cooker and all cooking utensils that
you might need if you chose to cook for yourself (although there
is also a separate staff kitchen as well). The kitchen opens up
to the pool, and a magnificent dining table made from the trunk
of an ancient tree.
The Pool & Sundeck
Step outside to find a green stone infinity pool where you can
sit and enjoy the amazing views or alternatively lie back on the
sun loungers on the sun-deck that seems to hang over the valley
below. Up above the pool a Bale (Balinese Gazebo) commands a fantastic
position, perfect for relaxing but it also provides a dramatic location
if you are looking for the perfect spot for your wedding ceremony.
